Do Rachel Ray's Recipes work?

I tried using one for class, and it was horrible. I mean I could cook but the lesson was take a famous cook's recipe and recreate it for the class. I made 2 things and they both failed. I would like to say she's a fraud.Do Rachel Ray's Recipes work?
Her 30 minute stuff works but it's expensive and a lot of it is just 'out of the can and into the pot' cooking.

For some real cookery plus a little nerdity, check out 'Good Eats'. Alton Brown gives recipes and shows how to do it along with some of the 'why' things happen.Do Rachel Ray's Recipes work?
I guess they work.
i've had great success with most of her recipes that I have tried.
I like her recipes. Everything Ive tried of hers was great. Wasn't done in 30 minutes however. Try the pizzagna recipe sometime, its awesome
I love her recipes! Every one that I have tried was great! Maybe you made a mistake somewhere...
She has yet to make anything that I'd be interested in making myself. Most of her combinations of ingredients really turn me off. I've made lots of recipes from Ina Garten (barefoot contessa) and they've come out fantastic, as well as a few from Giada's show, again with great results.
Well, I have actually never tried one of her regular recipes because they never really looked that appetizing to me and if they did look appetizing it was always a recipe that you don't need to watch a cooking show to discover it...but I did try one of her Dog Treat recipes...all of her recipes she has for dogs supposedly are for human consumption also...yeah right, I made the Isabooscotti (a biscotti recipe that dogs and humans can eat) and it tasted like a dog biscuit, lol, my dogs didn't even like it that much, they ate a couple pieces of it and then they wouldn't eat it again later or the next day...and my dogs will usually eat anything!!!!
RAcheal RAY is AWESOME!!!!!!!! i would follow her recipe's any day!!!
Both of my daughters use her recipes, and they're both excellent cooks. You should always try the recipe out at home FIRST, before you do it in class.... just like you try a recipe first for yourself, before you make it for company. Then, you can ';tweak'; it to fix whatever the problem is....
Yes, her recipes DO work. It takes me longer than 30 minutes... and sometimes I don't make all the side dishes that she does, but everything I've tried has come out good.

You didn't say what you meant by ';failed'; - more details?
Yes, her stuff is really easy. Most people with kids and beginning cooks make her food. Maybe you just chose something that was a little more complex than you could handle.
welll i supose so i mean she is very famous
I think it depends mostly on your taste. I look at the ingredients first and make sure I like it. I do this with all cooking shows. I think you need the taste smell and feel of what she or anyone else is cooking.
yeah, if you enjoy eating crap. Nothing she ever cooks looks very appetizing.
